Deployment and service boundaries
Local source changes do not update a running remote release.
Processes
The brain owns assistant state and execution. The gateway serves private reads and voice. Laptop observer, camera and tunnel processes supply device observations. Use listener exposure and credentials appropriate to each role.
Check the active release path and service configuration; a repository checkout is not necessarily the deployed source.
Upgrade behavior
Build and test the frontend with matching backend APIs. Consent needs both the brain endpoint and gateway proxy; old services must remain visibly unavailable rather than simulate a decision.
The gateway transcript buffer is in memory and clears on restart. Durable executing approvals must not be replayed merely because a service restarted.
