Verification and known limits

Repository checks, deployment checks and physical device acceptance answer different questions.

What is verified

The gate suite runs the registered checks and reports a pass and fail summary. A dated baseline exists for the HUD work: before the consent feature, segmented runs exercised 314 registered checks, of which 313 passed and the documentation integrity check failed because decision entries D105 through D129 are absent. That was not a single all-green aggregate run.

The seat contract check verifies something specific: it spawns each measured seat's own binary and reads its help, so a claimed flag that the binary never advertised is caught. The council table records the state it measured on 2026-10-17, and re-running the probe refreshes it.

What is declared

A subsystem in the task directory, a tool in the registry, a screen in the catalog and a seat in the council table are declarations. Each one says what the repository intends or contains.

A seat whose CLI is installed is not a seat that can answer. Installation, provider credentials and a working answer are three separate facts, and the council table keeps a separate state for each: measured, installed but not drivable, and not installable on this host.

Known limits

The owner confirmed iPhone transcription and audible replies. The recorded Home Assistant hostname was unresolved, and new local adapters were not deployed to the VPS in that baseline. Transparent-display readability needs physical hardware testing.

Cameras, external APIs, sleeping devices and networks can fail despite passing tests. No uninterrupted-service guarantee is implied, and a dated report certifies neither a later change nor a different host.

Repository paths below describe the implementation. They do not certify a running deployment or a configured external account.
